What type of oil do you use?

We are proud to use a premium 100% Australian Olive Oil in our Olive Oil flavours. Our plain oil flavour is mixed with a high-quality Bestfields Rice Bran Oil, it has a mild flavour that allows you to taste the fish, not the oil (GMO-free). Our spring water flavour contains no oils at all.

Is there an option without oil?

Yes, for those of you tuna lovers who don’t like the oil, our Tuna in Springwater flavour is made for you.

Why do you use Albacore Tuna for Little Tuna?

Albacore Tuna has many great qualities for preservation, such as its light white flesh maintaining firmness and texture after cooking. Once ready for eating its flavour has a non-metallic and non-fishy taste compared to other tuna. One of the biggest factors is Albacore Tuna is classed as sustainable in the South Pacific Ocean by the ETBF Fishery’s Governing Authority, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority. How is the tuna use in Little Tuna caught?

Our main supplier is our family’s company Great Barrier Reef Tuna, which uses sustainable longlining methods. For more information please see our sustainability page.

Do you use any preservatives?

No preservatives or additives are used in any of our products. We pride ourselves on using high-quality clean ingredients.

How spicy is the chilli flavour?

The chilli flavour consists of a whole bird’s eye chilli that over time releases flavour. Little Tuna aims to maintain the delicious flavour of the fish so a mild amount of spice is released, for those who like it hot. Just break up the chilli and mix.

How many serves per jar?

Each Little Tuna jar weighs 290g and there are 4 delicious servings of tuna in each jar.

Storage

Does my jar of Little Tuna need to be refrigerated before opening?

No, we recommend storing the jar at room temperature in your pantry.

How long can I keep Little Tuna in the fridge once opened?

Once opened your Little Tuna will need to be refrigerated and consumed within 3 days.

What is the shelf life of my Little Tuna jar?

Little Tuna’s shelf life is up to 18 months from the date of manufacturing.

How long does my online order take to arrive?

We use Australia Post for most orders and deliver Australia-wide. Delivery can take between 7-14days.

When ordering online can it be delivered to my door?

Yes, Australia Post will deliver Australia-wide or to the closest registered PO Box.

What methods of payment do you have?

Where do you stock Little Tuna?
